So......this is it. I have sitting in boxes the Riva free flow exhaust, the pump shoe kit, the OCMS kit, a 6 degree timing key (thanks to Rudy) , the BOV block off, and the emission by-pass and all the parts to do the I/c reroute. On order is the R&D ride plate. Impros is doing a Stage III speed mod on the impeller and flowing the pump and putting in new bearings.

I do not have a large amount of time to actually do all of these myself. So during de-winterization, I will have the dealer do the OCMS and the timing key. I do hope during their spring inspection that when they do the compreesion check it will come back to warrant new pistons/pings and they will be more than obliged to use the 09 set. I still ave 2 years left on the extended warranty, so we shall see.

Cosmetically I will be removing all the factory annoying decals and putting on a few performance ones.

As I begin this project, I will take and post pics as I can. WIsh me luck to achieve 70!!!!!!!!

Hooah,,,,,,

Well I did it. I am having Rudy get me the Riva plate. We shall see. SO...money allocated for this project:

$385 with shipping: Impros pump/new bearings and impeller mod
$220 RIva ride plate with shipping
$302 with shipping from Rudy (6 degree key, Riva exhaust, BOV block off, pump shoe kit)
$25 for the rd emiison by-pass
$100 for the OCMS from Skip
$25 from Home Depot and Auto Zone for the ic reroute parts
$0 for the lx wedge I had

So for $1057 hopefully we can attain the magical 70.

OOOOOOOK......day 2 with pics. Well...my wife was away,en-route to the lake eta 8 hours. After taking the SeaRay for dewinterization (and after I finally got everything together), I began around 11am and stopped at 5pm. Of course having 2 years of a warrant left, I was leary, but I already asked my dealer (they will do the difficult mods), I began.

The intercooler can be a little booger to remove, BUT again I haven't wrenched for 16 years. That damn Riva exhaust tooooooook forever. Put it on the Riva flange, insert it (ha)...pull it out adjust the length on the pipe and flange, try again....errrr BY NOW two beers have been consumed.....pull it out..re-adjust...insert..and on and on...BUT finalllllly got it in. Of course NOW I am paranoid. I only tightened the clamps with the screw driver (hard as it would go), but didnt use any blue sealant to hold them...NOW I am second guessing myself as if i should have used a lot of blue and wrenched it tight vs hand tight. I have visions of sinking. I did put the blue goo on the 4 outside bolts and where ever else it stated to do.

My wife called said her eta was 1 hour, so I put the BOV block on, put the intercooler and stuff in my suv to attach the re-route goodies and pushed the ski back in storage. I also removed those pesky vent hoses.

SOOOOO two beers, a deli sandwich, a lot of cussing and 6 hours later. That's it. Not much for day one: emission block off, BOV block off, vent hoses removed, and Riva exhaust (and the reroute done at the cabin.

Once I get the Riva ride plate and pump shoe from Rudy AND my pump/impeller from Dave, I'll do those (I have waaaaaaay tooo much silicon plastered all under my ski and pump area. Now what's the best way to remove that stuff? AND to remove those factory stickers..use a hair dryer?????

Out for now gotta finish the beer off.

A lot of satisfaction comes from doing things yourself. Looks good and make sure you reconnect the sensor on the IC.

i used a small ratchet and socket on the clamps. I did not use lok-tite. I try and carry a rag or anything with me on the ski that I can use to plug the exhaust from the outside if I ever needed to. The two silicone couplers should provide free movement and help prevent the exhaust from coming off.

What it comes down to is what are you going to have to do to make you feel better :-)

for the ocms i did NOT attach the bigger crankcase piece, and i left crankcase breather on....the only thing i did do for the ocms was plug the bottom line that comes from the engine and put the drain on
